TUESDAY:   In honor of the 100th Anniversary of Swann’s Way, readers will present Proust’s classic in 24 hours. The New Yorker’s Adam Gopnik and Anka Mulstein (Monsieur Proust’s Library) will kick off the classy event with champ and madeleines. [192 BOOKS]

WEDNESDAY: This costs a bit o’ $$, but the lineup is amazing: Lorrie Moore (A Gate at the Stairs) will chat with Sherman Alexie (The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian), and performers of their works will include Cynthia Nixon, Amber Tamblyn, and Jill Eikenberry. [SYMPHONY SPACE]

THURSDAY: This month’s Steamboat Lit Series will feature SNL’s Rachel Dratch (Girl Walks into a Bar…) and Michael Kupperman (Tales Designed to Thrizzle, Volume II). [GREENLIGHT]

FRIDAY: The New School will host a free symposium on the groundbreaking feminist classic The Feminine Mystique on its 50th B-Day. [66 Fifth Avenue]
