image

Though we’re coming up fast on the holidays, there are still lots of events going on this week, including: Junot Diaz & Julie Otsuka, NYer cartoonist Victoria Roberts, the Moth StorySLAM, and a book launch for My Apocalypse.

Also: I have an excellent BookStalked interview I’ll be posting later this week (Thursday or Friday), so be sure to check back!

MONDAY:
Junot Díaz (This is How You Lose Her) will read with Julie Otsuka (The Buddha in the Attic).  [92nd St. Y].

TUESDAY:
Victoria Roberts of the New Yorker will draw you a picture! [The Strand]

WEDNESDAY:
The Moth StorySLAM — always a good time. [Housing Works Bookstore] NOTE: This is actually going down on THURSDAY. Sorry about that. Wednesday appears to be a very quiet day, literarily.

THURSDAY:
Chuck Close will present the new Artifex title: Chuck Close: Painting, 1967–2012. [New York Public Library, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building]

FRIDAY:
Book Launch for My Apocalypse (stories of the end of the world by Elissa Schappell, Paul Ketchum, and many others), with editor Scott Adkins. [Powerhouse Arena on 8th]
